What
College Signing day is a little bit like a college athlete's signing ceremony and a lot like the NFL draft. Qualifying seniors will publicly "sign" with their colleges of choice, and will also get a bunch of school supplies to help them continue their success in college, thanks to our amazing sponsors!
Who
All seniors who are on track to graduate, have been accepted into college, plan to attend full time, and have earned some level of academic college scholarships will participate. The more scholarships a student earns the higher the student is 'drafted' and the more college supplies he or she receives!
When
CSD 2016 was Friday, May 6 at 9:00 a.m. at the PHS gym in Sandhill, Mississippi (30-45 minutes from Jackson). All parents, underclassmen, and teachers were invited, along with sponsors, community and state leaders, media, and others who care about education--in Sandhill, across Mississippi, or anywhere! Seniors signed with 8 different colleges and received $20,000 in donations and college supplies, along with a free car courtesy of Cannon Motors for one senior!
Why
Because these students are amazing, and they deserve all the support we can give them!
We are immensely thankful to our 2016 sponsors, who helped to take CSD to new heights!
Please help us thank these generous sponsors by supporting their businesses in return.
